The appeal was dismissed.
While the Inspector felt the proposal would contribute to the supply of housing across the district and would generate social, economic and environmental benefits, including biodiversity net gain, it failed to secure its advanced affordable housing for local needs and was therefore not compliant with Bentley’s Neighbourhood Plan policies. It also didn’t demonstrate how strain on existing infrastructure or effects on designated habitat sites could be mitigated.
